I'm weeping as I write this. They're breaking up. Dayton, Ohio’s best band is going the way of TATU. Okay, I’m not weeping that much.They did, after all, record about a million record in their 20-year history; I own maybe half of them. So I can probably content myself with simply buying their catalogue of records and pretending that each one I get is the newest release. Either way, Half Smiles is full of the usual brilliant, messy, life-is-excellent guitar pop they’ve become masters at making. RIP, GBV.
