Often, we wish bands that have played together for 20 years would just stop. But the 14th recording from these indie rockers is their best yet due to a newfound confidence in their lo-fi sound. Finally, they're playing songs longer than two minutes and striking a balance between ballads and guitar anthems. GBV have been compared to the Who. They're not that good, but they are bridging the gap.
